How to buy an Aircraft from AOS

Have Funds in order

It is always best to be certain that you will not have difficulty making payment for your airplane when it is time to do so. If you are paying cash, be sure you are able to access funds within seven days. Some accounts require some time to transfer. If you are financing, it is best to have a pre-approval for the approximate amount you wish to borrow. Bank of America among others provides a pre-approval feature that can be accessed on line.

Secure the Aircraft

After you have reviewed all of the details of the plane you are interested in including specifications, photos, and copies of the logbooks, as well as talking to one of our sales professionals, you may wish to place a deposit on the plane so that no one else buys it while you make final arrangements. Typically, we can hold an aircraft for a buyer with a signed purchase agreement and a deposit of $1,000. The condition is that the sale will be completed within 7 days. This time will allow for the buyer to inspect the aircraft, make travel arrangements and to finalize any financial matters needed to complete the transaction. We have several ways to submit a deposit including ones that are instant. There is nothing that stands in the way of securing a plane if you choose to do so.

Pre-purchase Inspection

Some buyers wish to have a pre-purchase inspection done by a mechanic. Our shop is open for you to bring your own mechanic, or if you choose, we can suggest a local mechanic to help. Other buyers simply inspect the aircraft themselves when they come to pick it up.

Deposit Refund Policy

If you are not happy with the inspection by you or your mechanic, your deposit will be refunded.

Insurance

Be sure to have full coverage insurance prior to picking up your plane.

Delivery

Delivery by qualified pilots is available on a limited basis. Be sure to discuss the details with your sales professional.

Completing your Purchase

Your purchase can be completed by making payment in the form of Bank Wire or Cashier's check. Ownership of the aircraft will be transferred at the time of full payment.
