May 2019 This being my first airplane to buy I had many questions, concerns and truthfully a “who do you trust?” issue. I can fly the plane but buying a used plane is something I had not done before. I didn’t want to get it wrong. Yeah, I had read all the articles on what you must do prior to buying (ie) prebuy, insurance, check the logbooks, etc. etc. I had spent plenty of time on sites such as Trade-A-Plane and kept coming back to Aircraft Ownership Solutions (AOS). They had the type of used planes I was looking for, the prices seemed right, their customer write-ups seemed honest, so I flew out to Kokomo, IN to check these guys out. I wanted to meet them face to face and resolve the trust issue I had over buying a plane. There I met the owner, Tim Keenan. The first question he asked me was “What’s your mission?” Well, he had me there. All my flying friends had repeatedly told me that I needed to answer that question for myself prior to buying a plane. I had done that and when Tim asked me, and after a good conversation, I was certain he had the same goals for my mission as I had. Isn’t that the way it’s supposed to be? Well, it doesn’t stop there. The whole staff at AOS; Sherri, Jon, Josh treated me with respect, they were patient with my many questions, they promptly answered my emails, and… well it just goes on and on. Even Sherri texting me the day I flew home to make sure I arrived OK. That about brought tears to my eyes. (Thanks Sherri) I highly recommend AOS. Good honest folks who happen to sell airplanes.
